The Hammock Bliss Sky Bed Bug Free is an insect-free hammock that will provide you with the necessary support in order to take a midday rest or sway peacefully among the trees. You don’t have to stick to traditional camping equipment to enjoy the outdoors. Let’s take a closer look at the Bliss Sky Bed Bug Free Hammock.
Features
Though you may love camping or backpacking, you may not be a huge fan of setting up and taking down your tent – we don’t blame you. Tenting, though fun, can be quite a hassle, especially if you’re camping or backpacking on your own or with others, including children.
After a long day exploring the wilderness or hiking through the mountains, you want to be able to take a quick break without having to do much work. Now, with a tent, it’s not going to be that easy as you’ll need to invest a decent amount of time setting it up.
And even if you had a pop-up tent, if you’re camping with more people than just yourself, you’re not going to find a pop-up tent for a large group of people that easily. This is where the hammock comes in.
Versatility
The Hammock Bliss Sky Bed Bug Free is extremely versatile. What makes it different from a traditional tent is that you don’t need to set it up on a specific terrain. Hammocks hang above the ground, thus, you’re able to situate your hammock wherever you’d like.
Tents are simply places where you can sleep, however, a hammock allows you to hang out during the day, take a quick nap or have a good night’s sleep.
In order to set up your hammock, you just need to connect the ends of the hammock to two sturdy trees. It doesn’t matter where the trees are located or the terrain underneath of them, thus, it allows you to use the hammock wherever you are in the world.
Lightweight
When you’re camping and backpacking, weight is a common issue. You want to be able to reduce as much of the weight as possible when you’re on a camping trip as most of the equipment you’ll have to carry yourself.
With the Hammock Bliss Sky Bed Bug Free, there are no poles, sleeping pads or stakes that are necessary, thus, it’s extremely lightweight. This hammock only weighs 1.9 lbs and everything you need is included in the carrying sack. As weight is important to you, have a look at my other guide to find a portable hammock.
Of course, depending on where and when you’re camping, you may need to bring a sleeping bag or rain tarp, however, you’ll notice the weight difference in comparison to a tent.
Gathered End Asymmetric Design
There are two types of designs when regarding hammocks: gathered end and bridged. These two designs differ slightly, however, have a huge impact on the user’s sleeping position.
The two distinct features are the gathered ends located at both ends of the hammock and the asymmetric shape. The Bliss Sky Bed Bug Free is regarded as the world’s first truly flat hammock as it allows the camper to sleep diagonally to its centre line.
In addition, it’s simple in design, lightweight and easier to cover with a tarp, unlike the bridge design which is generally heavier and more challenging to cover with a tarp.
Built-in Bug Protection
One of the biggest problems when going camping are the insects. Though many people love the outdoors they don’t want to wake up in the morning with a mouth full of bugs which is completely understandable.
The Hammock Bliss Sky Bed Bug Free is designed with built-in bug protection with its attached no-see-um mesh designed with over 2100 holes per square inch, repelling even the smallest of insects including, sand flies, fleas, mosquitoes, and gnats.
The netting is tear and snag resistant, so, you won’t have to worry about it ripping if it’s caught on a tree branch. The netting is made of 3 separate panels, making it even more flexible.
The two attachment loops on each side of the net allow it to keep above your sleeping space. Inside the hammock, there are 6 interior loops inside of the netting which allows you to hang your gear.
The 4 functional pockets on both ends of the hammock are for extra storage. The zipper has also been lengthened so that you’re able to sit in your hammock comfortably with the netting folded open.
Nylon Material
When you’re camping, you want to be able to lounge and sleep in comfort. The interior of the Bliss Sky Bed Bug Free hammock is made of silver nylon parachute material and accommodates almost any standard size inflatable pad if needed.
The sky bed is highly durable with ripstop material which is reinforced with webbing on the structural seams. If you choose to use an inflatable pad, it’ll provide you with extra thermal protection and create an even cosier sleeping space. On top of all of this, the hammock is machine washable and dryable.
Double layer of fabric
Many people are sceptical about using a hammock because they don’t think it’ll be able to support them. When you’re above ground, this fear is highly understandable. However, with the Bliss Sky Bed Bug Free hammock, is designed with an integrated sleeve.
The integrated sleeve is designed with a double layer of fabric on the bottom which is sewn for the purpose of holding a sleeping pad. The pad sleeve also has a pillow pocket design so that a standard 20-inch wide pillow will be able to be held securely. The sleeve adds rigidity and insulation from the cold, whether you use an inflatable or foam sleeping pad or not.
Weight, Size & Build Materials
When you’re looking for camping equipment, your main focus is based on finding both durable and lightweight gear. Of course, you’re also making sure that the gear doesn’t put a hole in your wallet either.
The Bliss Sky Bed Bug Free hammock is extremely lightweight as it only weighs 1.9 lbs. So, whether you’re camping or backpacking you’ll be able to carry your shelter without even feeling it. The hammock itself has been strength tested and can hold up to 350 lbs. The size is 125” x 53” and will gladly support taller individuals as well.
The hammock is made of silver nylon parachute material which is highly durable. The sky bed is made of different panels of fabric, sewn together to make an asymmetrical design.
In addition, it’s also designed with a double layer of fabric on the bottom of the hammock for the sleeping pad. With the parachute fabric and the double layer on the bottom of the hammock, it’s able to withstand heavy use.
Value
If you’re not used to sleeping in a hammock, you may be thinking that it’s not worth it, that a hammock isn’t as functional as a tent. However, you’re wrong. Tents, in general, are very expensive, especially if you’re looking for the features that are included in the Bliss Sky Bed Bug Free hammock.
This hammock includes everything you need in order to have a peaceful sleep and also has the extra feature of being versatile in almost any terrain, so long as there are some trees to hang it from.
If you’re looking for versatility, durability and reliability, then you should strongly consider the Bliss Sky Bed Bug Free hammock. It’s time to lose the traditional ways of camping and try a hammock that gives you everything you need.
